Norwegian state-owned rail operator NSB has called for a crisis meeting with Norwegian government agency Bane Nor. This is due to the low punctuality of NSB’s passenger trains. The punctuality is the lowest in several years. An increasing number of delayed or cancelled departures have been reported in eastern Norway in the autumn of 2017. NSB now calls Bane Nor, that is responsible for railway infrastructure, to prioritise daily maintenance above new rail lines. While NSB reported a good profit for H1 2017, customer satisfaction is considered more important.
